    Go to toilet before.
    Bring 2 pens minimum.
Take your student card (not sure if all unis do this but we had to during out exams)
    Make sure you've revised...

    Good Luck!

    How did it go Yully?
I had my first exam today (I had a mini one last year after 10 years) and my hand is aching. My top tip is to practice handwriting! This is what I will be doing now until my second exam next week.
Other tips would include taking a small bottle of water, some sweets and a watch. I was sat right at the back of the room and couldn't really see the clock. Thankfully I had my watch on.

Also a mature student at Uni and just finished my exams for this term!

Definitely go to the loo - you will not be alone - even the guys' had a queue!

Split the time into segments to allow each question / essay a decent time

Build in a time at the end to read and review your answers - amazing just how extra bits pop up at the last moment

DON'T have a post mortem afterwards - the exam is done, complete and unalterable

Nothing can change that - forget and move on to revising for the next one

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone, I have my final exam of this year this afternoon and this is the one I am dreading, my weakest subject and I still dont feel prepared for it!
  • Optimise your brain: give it water and sugar. Maybe some caffeine also. I use to have an odd ritual of taking a paracetamol with a cup of sweet tea (with a shot of single malt whiskey in it !!)

Paracetamol to stop any potential headache
    caffeine to boost my brain
    sugar to fuel it
    whiskey to calm my nerves

It may have been a stomach ulcer waiting to happen, but it was my ritual!

My tip is always to get up at 5am and cram. :)

I always revise to get through say 3 chapters, rather than for 2 hours.
