Mandles, all addresses on the internet are really numbers. Directories (called DNS) take what you type in and convert it to a number. So for example when you type www.bidnapper.com it really turns into this:
    http://64.62.203.218

If you type that in it will take you to the page you want but you will keep hitting the same problem as you navigate around it.

    The solution...

It is indeed a DNS problem that NTL are having in the Brighton area (and possibly other areas too) with many web pages being mis-directed. Having spoken to tech support you can fix it by going via a proxy.

Here is what to do (if you are using IE):
    * In the browser choose Tools, Internet Options, and click on the Connections tab.
    * Click on LAN settings, tick "Use a proxy server..."
    * Enter address 80.3.32.5 and port 8080, then click OK

It should work ok after that.

I imagine in a few weeks after they have eventually fixed the problem you will be able to go in and remove (untick) the proxy again.

EDIT: It works for Firefox too but after doing the change I found you need to close Firefox down, restart it, and then hit the "Refresh Page" if you get the same message again.
