Help Foriegn ebayer

  • I buy/sell a few high-value items on ebay, and would say that if you're even vaguely uncertain, don't go through with the sale - or at the very least don't do it on Paypal, refund their payment and tell the buyer to send you a cheque instead. Even IBAN is safer than Paypal in my opinion.

I've also been scammed by them before - in their opinion the seller is ALWAYS at fault even when you're clearly not (someone buys using a stolen credit card? Your fault!). Don't even take the risk if you can possibly avoid it - a negative feedback rating from a stroppy buyer is better than losing money, is it not? ;)

Feel free to send me a PM if you want any advice :)

If buyer is a user in Hungary and the correct buyer requirements are ticked then they wouldn't be able to bid, whether or not they had a UK address, they'd have to contact the seller first to be added to the 'buyer requirements exemption' list.

What are you talking about? We get 5 posts a day from people who have had overseas bidders despite having all the right settings ticked :rotfl:
