I'm in the market for a new smartphone.
I've had a vario II for 18 months and I like it, but I'm being tempted by others as I'm at the end of my contract.
I have seen the HTC Tytn on Orange Dolphin 35 for 24 months.
I was just wondering if anyone else has a smartphone and what they recommend and why.

I'm heavy on the txt's (between 500 and 1000 a month) and light on the phonecalls. Maybe 100 minutes a month... if you're lucky. I also want internet, though off peak would do on my phone. (MSN is the cheapest way to speak to my bro in NZ :D )

I know there are a variety of problems with various networks and various handsets so can folk let rip, and advise me.
After my wee comments on T3 phoning me there is no way on this earth I'm going to T-Mobile... who I know could match and possibly beat this deal.

Thanks for help in advance.

Okay I'm confused. Where's all the really good deals?

I've phoned O2, Virgin and Orange and the latter was the only one really trying to give me a good deal and even then it wasn't any different to the ones which were online.
I'm trying to cut my monthly bill, but I like having my smartphone. I was hoping for a new one, but without having to pay much for it.

Everyone seems to get really good retention deals but new customers get whats on offer and have to like it or lump it.

My options seem to be sim only £25 a month till I find a nice deal either O2 or Orange. The Orange one is unlimited txt and 200 minutes and internet. I think it would work out £2.50 at O2 for the added internet.

    What am I doing wrong?
Even the pay as you go sim only ones seem to be hitting £30 for what I want. I hardly touch the phone to call folk. Can someone give me a clue as to what I should do?
Tempted to call up retentions and see if they're allowed to give me the deals everyone else seems to be able to get.
