but I see on the Tanning Shop site there are over 80 salons but only 14 participating in this offer. Not one near me - shame! :rolleyes:0

I have had my appointment this morning - honest, from the way they went on when I called you would have thought that there was a siege on the shop and that people were piling up to try the free tan, but when I arrived (much earlier than my appointment) the shop was empty and I could go in straight away.
I was in for ages, and also breathed in at all the wrong moments and inhaled tons of the stuff (YUCK)! Came out covered in brown liquid and dabbed it with the towel, now I can see a nice tan developing but I haven't washed yet and still look a little like I have been tangoed (or a brown-haired version of Donatella Versace!).
Thank you The Old Bag for all the good suggestions, I did all the exfoliating and moisturisiing and shaving well in advance and now am counting the minutes to go and shower and see my golden skin!
I am not sure whether I would repeat this process for £25 a shot though, I would rather buy a nice self tanning cream and do it at home.
Ciao all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

I am going to get mine tonight at the Shirley branch. I rang up and they said no need to book just turn up!
I have got tomorrow off work and then its my birthday weekend so im hoping that it looks ok for going out fri & saturday nights - I was going to go tomorrow but after reading some posts was worried that I would look like id been tangoed tomorrow night!
I am still a bit nervous though, never had a spray tan before!0 -
It's not that cold, it's not unbearable. I got mine yesterday and I'm about to have a bath to wash it off. It looks pretty good bit I wish someone had told me to move around a bit as my sides are white and I have one brown arm and one white! It will probably look different once I've washed though. It has confirmed which bits of me are saggy anyway!
The iced coffee and caramel flapjack at Coffee Republic were nice too.0 -
What I've always wondered is- you know how you have to put barrier cream on your hands and feet? Doesn't that look a bit odd when your legs and arms are tanned, and then it suddenly stops when it gets to your wrists and ankles?0

Well I didn't put enough on (she told me palms and soles and nail beds, not the whole thing) and the soles of my feet are chocolate brown!0

Hi my wife has booked a free spray tan in Coventry and Dawn was very helpful and understanding when she kept changing her appointment, credit where credit is due.

I had my spray tan in Shirley yesterday, just rang on Wed. and made appointment. I arrived a bit early and the nice chap let me go in early so that was good. Everything was explained again and it was all straight forward. Didnt find it cold, didnt have finger prints taken either. I loved the whole experiance, and the tan is great. Thanks again to OP for the info. Great find.0
