Boiling the can for about 4 hrs, making sure it's always covered with water, makes lovely caramel. You add that to a shortcrust pastry base or curshed biscuit base and make caramel slices. Add some chocolate sprinkles on top. Oh yummy, shame I'm on a diet!
Another one is to add the contents of the tin to 3/4 lb of coconut, few drops vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt. Drop a teaspoon of the mixture on greaseproof paper and cook for 15 mins in the oven.... Condensed milk kisses.0 -

My grandmother used to make coconut pyramids. Desiccated coconut mixed into the condensed milk, then she shaped it using an egg cup. I can't be bothered, I would just do them free form. You can mix it with thick cream and some lemon juice and use this as a topping over crushed digestives. Can't remember the quantities but it's gorgeous, must ask my sister who used to make it. We called it Pooh's summer pie for some reason.Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0
