I've never seen him being violent and overall his normal (non violent) methods work wonders.

The dogs already fight, so what harm is watching out for the signs and correcting the behaviour before it escalates going to do?

Some people. Shoot them both!! They're doomed.

The only one that wants shooting is Cesar Milan. If you haven't seen him being aggressive, you can't have watched many of his shows. Or perhaps it's a case of there being none so blind as those that don't want to see.

There is a huge difference between being realistic (aggression between b!tches *is* serious) and saying there is no point trying. I have never said it's an impossible situation to deal with, only that it is often and extremely difficult one. There is no point the OP going into this thinking there is a 10 minute fix, no matter what the TV shows like to tell you.

Watching for the signs and stopping a fight before it happens is fine if a) you are physically capable of stopping them b) you attend to them constantly and always spot the signs in time and c) you are with them 24/7 or never leave them alone.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
