Right Will start list when I get home this evening after landlords agent been. I need to discuss with him whether my landlord would be ok letting to me if i was on housing benefit, as have found out I'm out of work at the end of July:eek:. Though I am looking for alternative employment need to know if I havent found anthing by then that my housing is secure. Otherwise I need to start looking now, for somewher else to live.
Also think I really need to step up my exercise efforts as DS asked if I was pregnant yesterday:rotfl: :rotfl:it would have to be an immacualte conception so would be really P1$$ed if I was, all of the pain but none of the pleasure .
Anyway hope everyone is having a good day, if not big ((((((hugs))))) to who ever need them.GC: £400/ £00 -
Awwwww lil_me he is soooooooooo cute
Well I am back after dashing out to let some visiting ringers into the tower. I forgot it was today and then couldn't find the keys at Mum and Dad's. Anyway all sorted, also got some fuel, took the plastic recycling and went to see DH while I was out so all in all a productive trip.
Just remembered it is MIL's birthday on Thurs and I have no idea what to get. Think I might nip to Boots and get some Olay stuff with my voucher :money:Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Lil_me - he is so cute a right bonny little lad:D .
Suzieq - I have an Elise (5) and Caitlyn (3 - we were going to call her Keira but she didnt look like one when she was born, IYSWIM). There was 18 months between mine and to be honest it was probably easier as they were at home all day rather than the running backwards and forwards for the nursery pickup. Getting the kiddies involved and making a game of it such as "I bet I can pick more toys up than you" or "lets see if we can put this all away before we get to 10" helped a lot when they were little.
Had driving lesson today, went to Cambridge and it went pretty well so starting to feel like I may be in with a chance of passing my test next month if the nerves dont get the better of me:o .

Afternoon ladies
Little Miss Magic welcome. I still have days when I am overwelmed by flying but know I feel better once at least one room is spick and span.
Soappie have you been polishing Buster? My view is slightly different.
Fallen Angel - I tried screaming, bribery, making a revision plan, screaming, pretending I didn't care, banning tv etc. None of it worked! He has admitted now that he should have started revising earlier (he is 14 and did KS3 sats last week) - lesson learnt for next year when he is doing GCSEs. All I would say is that lots of kids at our school who were predicted A/Bs didn't work hard last year and got some Cs and the ones who were predicted C's worked hard and got Bs and the odd A.
Lil_me Mathew is lovely, it made me think back to when we were all anxiously waiting news when he was so ill. You would have laughed at me. I have just been to town on my bike and came back with 2 cricket bats and a bag of shopping in my basket and a bag on each handle bar - I was so wobbley and I am usually good on my bike! One bat was a replacement for one which snaped and one was a bargin from Oxfam.
CMathews my kitchen is always under attack from ants I use the Antstop bait traps - little plastic containers you pull tabs off - they work brilliantly, make no mess, no smell, safe with pets/kids and last for ages.
Right HHC for me to finish dalies and wash sink and granite and then to the living room.

I am not sure what to suggest shelley. You can't really force anyone to do it. You can suggest that if he is on study leave he works during school hours, and perhaps work on subjects according to the lesson timetable he had at school.
See if he prefers websites or working through his notes. There are some good websites like dr browns chemistry clinic and s-cool that have quizes and games on rather than feeling like it was so much of a chore.
We had the same with my brother last year. He asked me to go and help him revise, and so i dutifully went and tried to help him. When i arrived he pretended he was asleep to try and get out of it.
