we don't have DD - and pay each time the bill comes in. the bills are inevitably miles out (either a vast underestimate if prices are due to rise so that we pay extra later or a vast overestimate if prices are due to drop). always quite annoying, but with a meter reading every 3 months we know where we are. what happens with DD is these situations? with prices due to go up, i guess paying 'extra' over the summer is a good thing?

You can always reverse the situation if they have estimeated your usage...

i.e. if prices are about to go up, over state your reading and get some of your future units at the old (lower) price and vice-versa

 I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.
