oh no i think i may have done the wrong thing...

anglia water took me to court as i owed £1002.00.... got a CCJ against me now...
Baliffs started chasing me and doubled the debt to £2000.00 with there costs etc...
got a new bill from angila water this week and on there was the ccj amount and my new bill amount... so i went to post office and paid the whole lot cash... £1300.00
baliffs phoned me last night and said i will still have to pay there costs... will I?
i have now paid my debt with Anglia water and i want an end to it.as it has been a very long road!!!

will anglia water return my money and say i have to go through the baliff company?
thankyou

not sure about the legalities of it all but for gods sake dont answer the phone to the baliffs anymore! its always best to communicate with them via letter as if you allow them a phone call they will just stress you out and confuse the situation.
at least you have cleared a lot (hopefully most of) your debt. something to feel pleased with ;-)

How come you owed so much and if you had that much cash why not pay them before it got that far?
 I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

it wasnt my cash (thanks mum)

I have many times writen to the balfiffs offering the cash but they didnt seem intrested, obviously they wanted the charges on top
and when he phoned last night it had gone up another £150.00 (interest)

So my anglia water debt is now fully paid....
But will the balliff comapany now take me to court to recover there charges?

    thanks
