Thing is i dont know where between the £650 and £1,700 i am How can you find out?

Btw i've done all the other steps, just waiting for this damn letter :mad:

You can check in Paypal how much you've sent and received. If you are no where near teh £1700 there's no worry. If so you need to go through the steps.

What I don't know is why Paypal have to tell lies though there is NO £1700 recieving limit set by internetation law. It is totally a Paypal limit.

Pdel, i guess they are covering themselves as they dont want a bad name if laundering does happen. Even though they have a bad enough name already.
I really hate paypal, but now on ebay you NEED paypal to sell, and until google (if/when?) open an auction site i need to make money.
Its still rediculous how they have are now holding my account until the letter arrives. I am going to ring them tonight or tomorrow as then its been 2 weeks, and hopefully be able to sort it...i have so much stuff to sell.
If any1 has any updates please let me know so i know how long exactly ill be waiting for the letter.

just to let you all know.
sent off for the letter on the 29th april.
it arrived today.
put the code in and my accounts back to normal already. no need to wait for a review, just done and dusted.
so i withdrew my cash and am back to selling normally!

Well you've had better luck than me, still havent got my letter yet thats from April 16th :rolleyes:

I phoned them last week and after negotiating my way through loads of automated messages i finally got to speak to someone. He seemed to think i should have received it by now and i think he was going to send another but then decided it would be better if i wait a bit longer as the letter has to come from America.
Luckily i've still got a way to go before i reach the £1700 limit but still bloody annoying :mad:

I also have had this message from paypal about nearing the £1700 limit, I,ve added up all my payments and they come to about £900 in the last year, Does anyone know when the year is calculated from, is it from when I opened the account?,

It asks me to give credit card details etc to lift the limit, I,m reluctant to do this as I think they have quite enough of my personal info already.

Can I ignore this if I receive less than £1700 a year?

The £1700 limit is a lifetime limit, not an annual one

Follow the guidance given to remove this limit.

I think th e£1700 is in total, so if you don't verify your paypal payments will be returned to the sender and you'l be out of pocket.

However with all the new requirements and rules I'm frankly not certain about anything anymore.

The international law bit is a complete Paypal fabrication, but never mind.

However the message then goes onto say:

When you receive a total of £1,700.00 GBP, you will no longer be able to withdraw or send funds any longer
