Anyone know when Voda will have their SMS text service fixed?

I spoke to them earlier and they said they were working on a known problem, which meant messages were being delivered several times, or not at all.

Thanks

    Hi Belnahua

There's no timescale just at the moment for our text problems to be fully resolved although we're working on getting everything fully working as soon as possible.

Originally there was a problem with messages being received although this has mainly been fixed. Is there any particular messaging service you're having difficulties with?

As a comparatively new customer coming from O2 I have been terribly disspointed with the robsutness of Vodafone's SMS service.

I've had several weekends where I got sporadic message delivery. I never had the problem wth O2, and for better or for worse I will be going back to them as soon as I can.

My daughter is currently having a problem with not receiving text messages sent to her, is there still a problem at Vodafone's end?
  • Hello ioscorpio.

At the moment we don't have any ongoing SMS issues and all appears up and running ok. Are the messages from other Vodafone's or cross net from say Orange or O2? If they are cross net then they would need to be investigated by the other network as we wouldn't have this information.

If you want us to look into this further for you, click here and fill in as much info as possible, making sure you include the code FIT135 in the main part of the message. This will forward your message to the Vodafone eForum Team who will contact you back as soon as we can.

    Look forward to your reply.
