just been told tesco's stopped their coupon policy y.day!!!!!!!!! been in with my coupns (15quid worth) and they sed sorry stopped it y.day as people were abusing it by using £300 worth etc and tesco now stopped ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh who else accepts em

Thanks for that Couponmad,
That will save me the Paul Daniels sleight of hand with my barcode generator printout in one hand and the too fuzzy Eve coupon in the other when I use the self scan.
Wish I could do these tricks on my own.

Quentin's right, siany83, try the nearest Tesco or even another cashier in the same store. And don't use the first cashier again.

If the coupon policy had been stopped it wouldn't be stopped suddenly at the weekend, and we would definitely get wind of it on the MSE grapevine long before any stores do. Tesco HO-to-store communication is not the best in the world, lol!

You could try Asda or Waitrose, they are the only other 2 supermarkets that will allow some coupons without you having to buy the product. But in both cases it's down to the individual store what their limit is and AFAIK many of them stick to just 10% or 3 coupons, which isn't great.

At least with Tesco there is supposed to be a national policy so if you find a coupon-happy local Tesco who know the policy, you can use as many different coupons as you like.

I work at Tesco's and can confirm that the coupon policy HASN'T been stopped. must of just been a grumpy cashier, go to someone else next time, and you shudnt have any probs!!

my mother in law works at my local tesco and she has been told they will be looking at the policy at christmas not sure what they will be doing to it, may stop the internet ones and only accept press and magazines so watch this space.

My local T have not once questioned any of my coupons and I am in everyday buying bits and bobs as I need them. I know the customer service manager quite well and even she said you could pay for all your shopping with coupons as long as they are all different and you have reached the min spend (if the coupon has one). So it goes to show not all the staff know what they are doing.
