Making cheap international calls within BTmobiles inclusive minutes

I have been looking for a cheaper way to call abroad when I came across http://www.simply-fone.com/ from mse's international caller page. It promises that you can use their access number which begins 07744 from a mobile and thereby be only using your inclusive minutes. I found this to be to good to be true as I always have loads of unused minutes left at the end of the month which my family would gladly make use of if they could call overseas. So I contacted my network provider BTmobile(are they the same as Tmobile?) who said that the number could indeed be used in this manner as long as the mobile was not overseas. But how can I know where the mobile number is from?
Has anybody used this access number via BTmobile and confirm that it is not charged outside of the inclusive minutes?

The number 07744 937777 was allocated to the Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited network provider, on the 06/2002

This was Dolphin before it went bust

  • The best thing to do is to make a short test call using the 07744 number, then check your bill and see.

BT Mobile piggy backs on O2 not T-Mobile.

I also thought it was T Mobile also ( with a more recent tie up with Vodafone?)

although that does not really have anything to do ith the query anyway

The most sensible thing to do is as Pricefighter suggested; making a shrt call and checking my bill to see how it was treated. I agree with Francine that if it is included as inclsive minutes then it is a fantastic service!
  • did a test call,i'm on bt mobile, i was charged 15p/minute on my bill it stated international region 2 , so be careful...have not tried the num ending in 4404
never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow

I've just noticed the simpyfone thread. Looks like there are a few pages for me to wade through there.
  • the difference could also be that tmobile does charge for the service and bt does not.

well, in any case, if they are reading this forum now ther is not much time left for these calls... ;-)
