This is my first find it so I hope that I have done it ok & that it makes sense.
Hi-Life dining card. 2 meals for the price of one for a year.
This card costs £59.95 for 12 months but if you apply over the phone (01253 88 44 77) and quote "Further £20 off Special offer" you will get the membership for £39.95 for 12 months. North West card only. You can apply via their web site but I don't think you can get the discount. The web site states that you can apply for a Yorkshire card too at a special price of £39.95.
The North West dining card I would imagine is only for use in the North West area. Thus the Yorkshire card for use in the Yorkshire area. If you do a restaurant search on the web site you will see that there are restaurants all over the country listed so I would imagine that you can get cards for each area. Not sure about that but I'm some helpfull cs operator will advice on that when calling the no. on the web site.
The 2 for 1 includes a starter & a dessert in the deal. You can use this it every day if you wish. If you dined out 3 times had a starter, main course & a dessert you would get your money back. After that it's save, save & save!!!
If like us you dine out at least once a week you can save fortunes.
Frankies & Bennys-Bar Med-Brewers Fayre-Mulberry Tree-Portofino-Paparazzi are just a few of the featured restaurants.
Over 1000 restaurants featured.
Click on the link below to see what this card is all about.
Happy Dining!!!! :j

Hi,
To all Yorkshire diners.
I have been using the diners card for a few years now and is very good value for money. If you apply for the card via the Yorkshire Post website you can get a further £2 discount.

This sounds brilliant (a bit too good to be true)
just a question though - what if 3 adults go for a meal have starters and a mian meal. all 3 have diiferent dishes at different prices. how does the 2 for 1 work then?

Have several friends that use hi life regularly without any problems. No reported "sulking" by restaurant staff or being treated like a leper when the card is mentioned...
I have resisted purely because I enjoy cooking!

You would get the cheapest of each course free & only one discount for the 3 meals.
I agree it does sound too good to be true but it is, that's why I have just ordered my card. I was told that I should receive it in 3-4 days so am looking forward to start using it.
The company have been established for over 20 years & has over 80,000 members so not a new concern.
Have you looked at their website?0 -
If there are 4 of you (2 adults and 2 children), do you need 2 cards or do they deduct it automatically from the 1 card?0

The same applies. you would only get the cheapest courses free, the one childs one.
This card is more profitable when two equal or similar value meals are ordered.
I would order the two childs courses seperate to the adult ones to get the most expensive free.
Edit. I think you can have 2 cards if 4 of you are dining but you would have to ask their cs operator to verify that.0 -

*grump, grump, grump*♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -
Surely you would not have to mention you are using the card untill you either order your food or it's time to ask for the bill? By then you would already be seated.0

I think in the T & C's it says that you must mention the Highlife card at the time of booking.....♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -

Surely you would mention it *after* they have confirmed there is a table available.
As in 'can I book a table for x at x o'clock please?'
'Certainly sir, what name would that be in?'
'Mr X'
'Okay Mr X thats a table for x at x'.
'Thank you - oh, I should mention I will be using the Highlife card'.
Would they then tell you that they didn;t have a table? Maybe, I suppose - in the way that airlines only have so many 'cheap seats'.0
