afternoon all. I've got throbbing feet from the heat and I've just done the How British Are You in Bed quiz and apparently I'm 76% Italian and treat making love like a religious experience - guess I just need someone who wants me to dress up as a nun then!

Happy birthday Natasha!!!!!! Is there lots of jelly ;)

I've had a bit of (kind of) good news today. I got my P60 so thought I'd do my tax return online , find out the damage and start saving to pay by the end of January.

However, I noticed it says that if the bill is less than £2000 it can be deducted via PAYE starting in April 2009!!! My total bill will be less than that so I called them and checked and yes, I can do that now I'm back in a partly salaried situation - just tick/don't tick the relevant boxes and they will change my tax code next April and start collecting it monthly then!

That's much better - means I don't have to try to earn money to live on plus the tax bill within the next 7 months. By next April I will have gone up by 2 increments at work so that will almost cover the monthly amount (from my rough calculations).

I'll do the return later in the year - no point in being overkeen if I don't need to be!!!

Hi all, i cannot believe this is the first chance i have had to get online today!!! Very busy, but not manic, today at work and i almost quite enjoyed it! If that's possible!?!??!

Weather now dulled down here but managed to get a half hour in the garden centre outdoor cafe with a book and a chicken caesar salad at lunch time, very good to myself i am!!!

Erin is staying at my friends tonight, she is bridesmaid at their wedding in 2 weeks so i think it is a "getting to know you better session", although we see lots of them anyway... she's keen to have her stay over and i'm keen to go out for a quiet romantic meal with Big G, so everyone is a winner.

TMI alert - must remember to have any romantic altercations prior to going out as neither of us can ever be arsed after a curry!! lol
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

I have just done something really un DFW that has screwed my DFD into the ground (well hopefully not too hideously - fingers crossed, I have done my sums like a good DFW and should only delay it by six months which seems a small price to pay for my mental wellbeing)

I have just agreed with a lettign agent to rent a flat on my own, it doubles my monthly outgoings on accomodation but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy. My sanity has needed this for a long time and I am so excited I can't wait.

I don't move until 20th June (I want to give my landlord some decent notice as he is a friend) and I am really happy with the place I am moving to (great location, LOADS of storage space, safe and secure, plenty of plug points, landlord sounds decent and letting agency has a good rep and the agent I have been dealing with has been lovely (as opposed to all the other cretins I have had the misfortune of coming into contact with over the last few weeks).

Sanity and life as a real bona fide grown up, here I come

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Grrrr, what a rude, ungrateful cow

I would have at least got the coffee and cakes in for you if it had been me (and of course said thank you - that costs nothing)

    Hi All!
    Goodness, I miss you all...
No t'internet connection, no laptop (sadly, died...) and possibly the WORST few days of my life...

Moved in, almost but have NO food, lol. Still haven't got tv either and feel as though arms AND legs cut off, no TV? NO LAPTOP!? AH!!!!

Joe on the mend but looks horrible-poor little mite (did I tell you he was jumping on his bed and landed on radiator which resulted in emergency drive to casualty and 6 stitches???) And I'm holding it together...JUST.

Thanks sooooo much to Sar for helping me-I couldnt have done it alone. (espcially her DIY skills)

I miss you guys, hopefully online asap.
