I love grapefruit as it is for a starter/breakfast, but I also love it with a little watercress and some grilled duck as a salad. Its one of my favourite meals.0

Thanks everyone - would be interested in both the marmalade and the wine recipes.
Would it work in a meringue pie in place of the lemon do you think?0 -
grapefruit meringue?????????? sounds interesting, cannot see why it wouldnt work? but I was going to suggest grapefruit sorbet, I did it once with pink grapefruit and it was lovely and a pretty colour! I would probably add more sugar as grapefruit can be really tart!0

I bought some grapefruit today (5 big ones!) and am now wondering what to do with them. You have to be in the mood to eat them as fruit, and I don't think I'll be preparing salad anytime soon..!
I found this recipe which looks good. Are there any other tried and tested recipes for grapefruit that you would recommend? I'm open to any vegetarian ideas - needn't be a meal, a snack or something different would do (eg grapefruit curd might be an option, but I'm looking for others).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think I'll try making margaritas with grapefruit juice rather than lime. And next time I get a chance to work from home, I'll make a big pot of this citrus green tea (minus the honey) for myself, looks quite drinkable. Anything more inventive?
Oh yes, and I suppose I could use it to make guacamole, again instead of lime juice? Am really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, wish I'd never bought them now!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
