When did final value fees go up to 7.5%?

After a 2 year break I've just sold 3 items on Ebay. The final value fees were a lot highe than I expected, so I took a closer look.
£0.01 - £29.99
7.5% of the amount of the high bid (at the listing close for auction-style listings) up to £29.99
£30.00 - £599.99
7.5%of the initial £29.99 (£2.25), plus 4.5%of the remaining balance of the final selling price

How long have they been this high?

    it's only 7.5% on a few things.
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

It's true, the fvf have gone up horrendously:mad: . They seem to have made minor downward adjustments to the listing fee charges, but when you judge the whole auction the seller is a lot worse off (I certainly am with buy it now item, fixed price listing).

To reward us for this much higher cost, ebay seem to be providing fewer and fewer buyers - fair enough it could also be influenced by everyone being short of money, but it seems rather a coincidence.

    Ideas for alternative sites peeps???

Mobile and Home Phones, Computing, Consumer Electronics & Photography are still at 5.25% up to £29.99, but Books, Comics & Magazines, DVDs, Film and TV, Music & Video games are now 9%.

Yep. Sucks for me. However, since the new search facilities have made it much easier for me to pick up my stock on the cheap, I'm actually doing better overall :)

You've still got to sell it though...

It's not that high, just sold my old EeePC on Ebay, sold for £210. The listing fee was £8.95 and the Paypal fee £7.34, making a total of £16.29.

I work that out as around 8%.
