Au naturale closing down
Comments

This one is closing down.
Be careful what you chose - on the windows and on all the shelves it says up to 50% off everything however when I took several items to the till the SA said that these items where not in the sale and it was only the items with the orange stickers.
Still, some reductions ie candles, garden ornaments etc.
Good luck

ABM, they always seem to do that on their sale goods - they've tried to catch me on things before and when they've been double what i expected, ive told them to keep them! lol
looking at the site, i think b&m would be more useful than Au Naturale was... so hoping my local AN becomes B&MOn the up

Ooh, I wonder what's gonna happen here in Derby then cos we have just had a brand new B&M open last week (which used to be Glyn Webb until B&M bought them out) so I doubt that Au Naturale will also become B&M
Seems that B&M have plenty cash to splash though!!!0 -
Bolton is closing down not everthing is reduced as yet but at eccles everything was half price0

The owners of B&M bought around 30 of the Au Naturale stores. The stores are mainly situated within a 1 1/2hr drive from Blackpool which is where B&M are based apart from the Northern Ireland stores which are also part of the 30. As AuNat is having a closing down sale, they are going to clean out of the AuNat stock, as well as starting to sell the B&M range (That'll be fun!!).
At the moment, it looks like they are going to just do a similar homewares range that AuNat currently do but much, much cheaper, rather than going for the full range that B&M homestores do (Paint, Wallpaper etc.)0 -

yip, I work there and we have a sale on, could shoot the marketing dept for the confusing graphics though. there are a lot of reductions, not all 50% though, a lot of best selling lines are still full price. The powers that be at head office have assessed the stockholding of the company and heavily reduced the lines that we have tons of that will be more difficult to shift.
There are only 30 odd stores that have been bought by B&M, 6 of those are in Scotland, the remainder are across England and Ireland. Stores in England WILL close down unless they are snapped up by anyone, they are no safer than the stores up here.
The close date we have been given is 7th June, some other stores have a week or 2 longer.
There is still stock arriving into the stores, the warehouse at eurocentral is still heavily stocked.
We could easily trade another few months with the stock we have in the store, hopefully we'll get snapped up or they will give us an extension.
It is amazing though how busy we are when the prices are right eh?!! We are busier now than we were at xmas. Trying our best but the shop is a tip, complete and utter jumble sale, retail is a pants business to work in when things like this are happening.:rotfl:0 -
I was told by Au naturele SA that home bargains and b&m have bought them out and they are only allowed to have so many stores within so many sqaure metres of each other so if there is a home bargains or b&m near the Au naturele store must close. We have a home bargains so it will close in june and another shop will take it's place but home bargains won't move in to it as it is in a better and bigger location.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0

Oh are we getting B&M in Northern Ireland then:j
Always good to have more choice;)
Au Naturale used to be great when it was a small operation, stocked some quality stuff that was very unusual;) recently its stocked Tat at inflated prices, so here's hoping things improve:DI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Dundee city centre store had lot's, but not all in the sale, really lovely assistance kindly pointed out that 2 of the thing's I'd picked up were still full price so I left them, bit confusing as signs up saying up to 50% off so it is the lowest sticker price you pay, thinking of popping up to the Kingsway store later.Booo!!!0

I'd not make a special trip if I were you. I went up there last week and there wasn't much reduced at all0
