Click here for the B&M website. They took over some Focus/No Frills stores last year too. Never been in so don't know what they are like!

  • Small sale at Telford store - but nothing unusual (there's usually a clearance section at the back anyway. Majority of stock in the store was still full price

Sorry to go off on a tangent but thought I'd let you know some more on B&M. B&M is a discount store. I know they have stores in St Helens, Ashton in Makerfield, Southport, Leigh and Cleveleys nr Blackpool.

It is hit and miss in there- I've had some great bargains but you have to be there at the right time. They tend to have groceries, alcohol and household items sometimes a lot cheaper than Home Bargains.

A few examples of bargains I've had in the last couple of months: Lloyd Grossman cooking sauces 59p each (with over 12 months on the date), big box of celebrations 99p (with 3 months on), high school musical stickers 49p, Car mats £2.99 (decent ones aswell), Large warburtons bread 92p aswell as various other items.

    Hope this helps!

Don't know if the Greenock store has a sale on - but I'll probably pop down later to see. Will let you know what it's like.

Ok so looking at the locations of B&M it seems the closest to me is sunderland, although if they are taking over al aunaturele then there will be one within walking distance to me ... I am guessing it is similar to home bargains so could be a good thing ... I do like some of the things in aunaturele however having not been in for years then going to the local one a week or so ago I noticed how much it had changed and that quite a few bits were *tat*
