in preporation to book, can anyone tell me the differece between all the fares on offer?
Standard Advance Single E £13 and £13.50
Standard Advance Single D £18 and £18.50
Standard Advance Single C £23 and £24
Standard Advance Single B £27.50 and £29
Standard Advance Single A £32.50 and £34
there are more catogories but i won't bore you with them all !
firstly, why 2 very similar prices for each category?
secondly, its just a train... can there really be that many different classes?
Is 'E' on the roof, and 'A' in a comfy private compartment ????
all seems a bit overly confusing ....
There are only two classes - first and standard. The categories are merely different prices for the same ticket - obviously any same person would buy the cheapest (which will sell out first)
The small difference ones are I think where connecting services run by another company may be involved - where this applies only the more expensive one will be offered. Where it's all FGW just ignore the expensive ones.
It's easier to put ALL the fares there at once and rely on people's common sense to buy the cheapest than only to load the cheapest and then have to change things later - and possibly have gaps when no cheap fares are offered.0 -
