onestopphoneshop cash back
Please could somebody explain the cashback I'm a little worried by reading some of these posts.
I have bought two phones one from carphone warehouse and one from onestopphoneshop.
They both appear quite clear but I have seen a lot of warnings about getting it spot on with Onestopphoneshop and dont want to make any mistakes people have said its the month you need to claim back on not the bill but I need to send a copy of the bill so surly its the bill???
Anyway Igot the phone on 31st august and activated it the on 2nd September, not got a bill yet.
Have my form and keeping it safe.
Cash back
1 £65.00 M4 (Month 4)
2 £65.00 M8 (Month 8)
3 £66.50 M12 (Month 12)

I'm really lost with this, I took the K300i on relax 100:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=73183
The three cashback above come to £196.50 but I just called Orange who sid I would pay £15 for three months then £25 for 9 month (inc VAT). Total £270.
PS it says all over my bill from OSPS "12 months free line rental "

Looking at the original thread for the deal which quoted 12 months free line rental, I clicked on the link and it is now only 9 months, hence the £75 shortfall in your expected cashback.
It will come down to what you signed up for at the time - did it show 12 months on the website at that time? Does t show 12 months on the onscreen order confirmation? If it does then theyve made a mistake and should honour it. If it doesnt then the deal has probably been downgraded to 9 months free since the thread was posted and maybe you didnt notice when you ordered?
If its a deal breaker I think you have a 14 days return period with OSPS - less an admin fee.
Hope this helps.

Just had my first experience of OSPS cashback claiming.
You do need to read their literature thoroughly to ensure you adhere to their policy for redemptions.
I photocopied the redemption voucher and the 2 pages of the bill I was sending off to them. The eay it worked for me was it stated M4 = £75 cashback. Therefore 4 months after my connection date I had 45 days to claim the cashback. It only says attached your latest bill so you dont need to wait for the 4th monthly bill as this could delay things, just send the last one you received.
I sent it recorded delivery to ensure I could track it. Some people go so far as Special Delivery but Im not sure its worth the extra and it only gets the same proof of delivery as recorded does.
They say it can take 42 days to make the repayment (although theyve dropped that to 21 on their website now) and my cheque arrived on day 41!!!!
Im now some 13 days away from my 6 month connection date with Orange and am poised to downgrade the tariff to a lower one which in effect will mean I make money out of the deal over the year. (Currently have 200 minutes and dont use hardly 25% of them).

It says 12 months free line rental on the invoice, the same invoice that has the three cashback figures on it..0 -
Suggest you get in tuch with them then. Wouldnt bother emailing as they are poor in responding. Better to phone and give em hell.....0

If it is their error, make sure you get them to make a note of it on your account to say that you called and complained about the mistake.
With me they didn't send my claim vouchers, and I complained continually for 3 months or so. After that the manager got in touch with me and said as they had no evidence or proof that I had called up (I even sent emails) within 14 days of the purchase they would not resend my vouchers.0 -
Thanks guys I will call them tomorrow, I will use my mobile and record the conversation too..0

I had a cashback from them a couple of months ago, got in within two weeks of sending. I use special delivery because I can claim upto £250 if the letter got lost. If you send by recorded delivery, in the event that royalmail lose your letter u can only claim upto £28. I have two claims this month, one for £75, one for £110 so I will send them in together to save postage.
Umer - if you have not got your vouchers, I suggest you send them a recorded post letter demanding the vouchers or you will get in touch with trading standard.0 -

I believe relax 100 is £23 per month
£45 network rebate +£196.50 OSPShop rebate = £241.50
3 months @ £11.50 [£34.50] + 9 months @ £23[£207] = £241.50 also
That is my understanding of the deal I got when my phone and paperwork came through anyway.
Don't lose the claim vouchers whatever you do
Hope this helps0 -

Thats starting to sound better £196.50 is the amount the cash backs add up to.
What do you mean by "£45 network rebate", does that mean Orange will send (or I have to claim from Orange) the £45.
Thanks Again Tony.0
