To bring this back to the original question, you would have been given a reference (starting OLA) at the end of your application, and would also have received an email a few minutes later letting you know what would happen next with your application. If you didn't get either of these then you didn't finish the application online, and need to do it again.

May I just bump this thread for a little while?

I'm particularly interested as to whether anyone out there is going to contradict the general run of comments which has been pretty scathing about the Abbey.
