transferring out of Abbey ISA.........experiences

what are peoples experiences of transferring ISA's out of Abbey to other providers?

once the ISA has been 'transferred' and therefore the account closed does it disappear from the online banking system because for about 5 days now it is no longer showing when i log-in??

if so that's a pain as it would be nice to see what the closing balance was with all the interest added and the date it was 'closed'

i've had nothing in writing so i'm in the dark!!

That's certainly what happened when I transferred mine in February.

Yes it is no longer visible on the online banking when it is 'in transit'. Mine too about a week to transfer from Abbey to Lloyds in early April so if its no showing then its on its way.

Yes, Lloyds will send you a letter to say that the money is in your account. I dont know what you could really see online as its currently in the 'void' between the banks...

had a letter today dated the 7th May from Abbey saying they've transferred the account and stating the final balance. i assume this was the date the transfer occurred yet i was unable to view the account online for about a week before that date??
