Really annoyed - can I do anything about it?

I don't even like Tabasco Sauce but bought a couple of bottles cos my son likes pizza (and I like free pizza), i.e. the Papa Joes offer. Took my coupon the 7 miles away to the only Papa Joes in Edinburgh (even though the coupon states there one a mile from me, but there's not) and got a tasty pizza.

Today, son's birthday so after an afternoon of bowling with his 2 pals, drove the 7 miles across town again to Papa Joes to get some lovely pizza only to be told the Manager is not accepting the vouchers any more! Explained the situation but to no sympathy. Son's face crumbles! I'm just bloody annoyed!

Surely if a retail outlet agrees to the offer, they should carry it through, not change their mind half way through. Coupon doesn't expire till end Oct 05.

Deflated, we had fish & chips at local chippie and vowed never to go back to Papa Joes. Any suggestions on who I cam complain to, disappointed son, 14 miles round trip in the car and now stuck with Tabasco sauce I won't even use!

What a rip off and what a disappointment on my son's birthday too.

Is this a franchise outlet? If so, complain to the main body of the company.

If it isn't a franchise, I would write a polite letter to the Manager himself stating that the decision to not accept the voucher was completely unexpected and you were annoyed that you travelled halfway across Edinburgh costing you time and money for something that you expected to get and didn't.

You might not get anywhere, but it's worth a shot.

WHY NOT ?

There are loads of recipes that can have a dash of this stuff added to it.
Will add flavour and give a bit of pep and zing to all sorts of things.
Soups, stews, casseroles, chillies, curries, mince including cottage/shepherd pie and bolognaise, marinades, sauces and even just in baked beans for humble beans on toast.

If you can't find a single use for it, I'll send you my address and you can send it to me !

digp,have you completely forgot your on a money saving website,getting your wallet out aint good money saving sense,especially when these pizzas were a free offer on the tabasco sauce.Not much of a money saver are you if your always getting your wallet out.
I would be well peed off if that happened to me.I would also write a firm but polite letter explaining all this as mentioned in an earlier post.

The vouchers state collection only.

I've used about 6 vouchers so far, normally get 2 pizzas at a time (both with vouchers) and as long as you've filled in the details,they don't mind!
