Should we have a soap box forum?

I have been reading this site for a couple of months now and have made some great savings - 18866 to mention just one. I really enjoy reading through the threads and seeing what bargains/savings people have made, Boots being a particular fav!!
However, I am finding this all far less enjoyable as many of the threads are now filled with posts with people arguing about the legality/morality of various money saving devices. Could we not have a 'Soap Box' forum specifically for those posts where people want to argue and leave these threads for people to post money saving tips and share in their success stories? :-/

Sounds a good idea to me savingsgirl. I would guess the Grab it while you can is the most popular foru, so anything on here gets most responce (its the one I always look at first).
I was thinking a forum for "Problems or tips for stuff we have got on the Grab it while you can forum " would be good too, ok it would need a better title, but would be something of interest to a lot on here and save anyone looking for new deals wading through a lot of stuff.Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.0 -
is that a forum for cheap washing powder. If it is how much is Daz. :P :P0

Errrrrrrr... would it be £6.49 at Morrisons? ;DNope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.0

We already have one its called
Grab It Whilst You Can!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I take your point Savings Girl. There is already of course The Dicussion Board but people there get very heated about their point of view and it can become too arguementative.
Try the Vent board but there you run the risk of your vent being turned into a joke so its best really just to pass over the posts you don't want to read.0 -
How about just reporting the arguing to the abuse controller ,problem solved ;D0

Well said Traf.

Grab It Whilst You Can!
Do you mean :- Quick Grab It While You Can ???
I don't think so, any arguing would be reported to the MSE Abuse Controller, as this is now Zero Tolerance on all the boards.0 -

People used to gather at speakers corner and shout very loudly while standing on a soap box ;D,I find the origin of sayings fascinating :)
"While up by Speaker's Corner at Marble Arch you can hear Briton's exercise their right to free speech. There may be a dozen or more at any one time, each standing on a soap box, and spouting (usually) controversial views, strongly held on any topic you can think of - religion, politics, fox hunting, trade unions, Europe, tourists."

can you imagine that happening on here ;D ;D0 -
