    don't talk to me about teachers, DD1 has had the most apalling teaching for AS biology, the entire cohort failed one of the papers with a U. All the school could say was that it was the students fault for not paying attention in lessons:mad: :mad: On opening the paper, not one of them could answer anything as they had not been taught that part of the syllabus. Tell me how the entire class could fail to pay attention :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
    Ps, there are wonderful teachers, just not enough of them.
    2011, this will be my year .

    Don't forget it will reflect badly on the school to!

    My BM's class for GCSE had all their coursework lost by the teacher hahaha. Made me laugh when I found out about it.

    But also had amazing maths teacher for GCSE and A Level. :-)

    Student loans are not written off when you go bankrupt... unfortunately.

    Could you take a loan out for the student loan amout. Pay it off. Then after a while declare bankruptcy?

    You also seem to miss out on the fact that your wages will rise with inflation and with promotion in the course of your career.

    People always seem to calculate it on the basis they'll be earning £15k for the rest of their life. If they are, well, sucks to be them.

    And it's equally possible that the payment threshold will rise with inflation as well. It went up from £10,000 to £15,000 a couple of years ago.

    Why would anybody want to do something so bloody stupid? Student loans tick over in a pretty harmless way unless you're earning big money; bankruptcy blights your life for many, many years!

    The loans themselves also go up with inflation, as do tuition fees.

    Ok while we are on the subject of student loans - I have decided that getting my mortgage years and loan amount down quickly is a better financial decision than worrying about my student loan, which I have just started paying- am I wrong or does this make financial sense
    NB we have no other debt nor savings (which I am trying to make a stab at too)
    RMC
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
    (CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

    There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
