    Hi everyone...
network still down at work - so I can't do DFW stuff in my lunch hour!!
I have... only spent 1.14 on a pizza for dinner, checked my internet banking, done a piggy click, laughed at the response that HSBC credit card sent to my request for a charges refund and I will draft the response 2mw! That's it I think!
  • Hello all :hello:

What a lovely day it's been here, hope it's been lovely with you too!

Not done much but not spent much either. Unfortunately DS2 has cooking tomorrow (just appeared with list!) so have to go and buy stuff for fruit salad ( is that really cooking? )

    Enjoy your evening :D
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

Oh dont get me started on "cooking" in school  My ds has to do fairy cakes this week, hes in secondry school, not infants! Last time he had to do a fruit salad, the time before that he had to do a jacket potato with a filling of his choice  its just daft. My eldest once came home with a list which included breadcrumbs, and on there it stated that they were NOT to be home made, they must be shop bought, and they also had to bring in a packet of pastry, under no circs were they to bring in pastry that was made at home. Whats up with making the flippin pastry in the lesson :mad::mad:

    And breathe.....

    Hi everyone!

I've had such a manic day at work today, haven't been on here at all til now. Been productive though... feel I've got a lot done, though it wasn't exactly on my To Do list, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, my DFW things today are pretty good I think....
    - did my piggy clicks
    - did kelkoo via quidco though it's not tracking unusually
    - had to get up early today to move the car, so instead of going back to bed I was VERY GOOD and fished out 8 more things and listed them on eBay before I even had breakfast. Extra good because I really am a sleep hound in the morning.
    - Had a brainwave this afternoon, I had to book some work travel stuff on Expedia, and remembered they are on Quidco, so did it via that - the travel stuff doesn't come out of my pocket in the long run (expensed), so I earnt a free £15 in the process - hurrah!! Wish I could do that every day!! Though I suppose the fact I was working late unpaid to finish things off sort of counter acts it... still, I don't add up my unpaid overtime or I would be horrified permanently!
    - Brought lunch in from home, didn't buy anything nicer even though I went past shops at lunchtime
    - Shopped around for a card I needed to get for some friends, and found a nice one for only £1, instead of buying the first one I saw for nearly £4
    - Sold another book for £3 on GM
    - Checked for more mystery shops, but none suitable yet
    - Discovered my old Boots advantage card and learnt it was £20 on it!!
    - Only found that out when I paid for some makeup stuff, but had managed to take advantage of an offer, and saved £10.

Sorry not to reply in more detail to all your lovely posts, but short on time as have to dash out! Thinking good thoughts about new and future jobs, getting well soons, not falling off wagons, stupid banks, home baking, and pastry though! :)

  • Cleosmum - you have described my childrens food tech experiences!! I suppose it is hard to cook much in a one hour lesson but really....!!!

The crowning glory for me was yule log - a bought swiss roll and a packet of icing sugar which got tipped over the top!!

Commiserations - that is difficult, just have to keep up the dripping tap mantra about what, why and how of DFWness and hope it sinks in soon, especially when the baby arrives. Try not to let it get you down, I know that's hard.

Cassey and Klane - have you joined the longest list competition too! So many things....so little time
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

Candy and Hayley - Good luck with the job hunting, hope you spy something suitable.

Hi, Thanks for the good luck.....just watching the apprentice~ laughing as the contestants remind me of the sales department of work

I am officially rubbish at NS days ~ £20 in Mr T's on salad for dinner and lunch at work. I think that it would have been cheaper to buy salads at work!:rolleyes:

Oh well, there is always tomorrow.:j

Other than that did 2 loads of bedding on 30 wash and line dried and finished up left overs for my lunch.
