When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will/have:

Morning all
Today I will:- make a loaf in the breadmaker
- do some washing (unfortunately my decrepit old machine's 30 degree cycle doesn't work so it will have to be at 40)
- hang the washing up to dry in the yard on an airer
- have a store cupboard lunch
- clean the kitchen using my new stardrops and micro0fibre cloth (dfw because I'm not using ridiculously expensive cleaning products
)
- check my emails and do surveys that are sent to me
- have a nsd (should be able to as I am working at home)
- do some overtime this evening
- as I didn't get round to listing any books on amazon last night, I will try to do some today (but I'm not holding my breath!)

Morning All
Today I will/have:- get back into the habit of posting here -it helps me keep on track, and if I waver, the thought of having to own up to "mis-spends" keeps me on the straight and narrow
- clicked on piggy, though I've kinda given up doing Quidco -perhaps I'll return.
- hopefully I'll be getting payment for a car we sold on e-bay....
- Apart from cat-food, a NSD
- menu planning from the store cupboard.
- organising more things to list on e-bay - I must increase my income in order to pay a 0% cc before August when the rate runs out.

phoned tax credits to check that they had recieved my form following my compliance check and was told that I will recieve 1 payment of £7.83 tomorrow and another 1 off payment of £73 to last me the whole year!!!! I asked why this was as last year our joint sallary was £29,500. When the guy checked into it, our salaries had been entered twice taking us to the threshhold of recieving TC. He's ammended it now but it will have to be reviewed again so still no money from them since February. I'm just glad i checked it - even if it was on the 0870 number
