Does anyone know much about them? I'm thinking of getting one; I've already got a cash one.

What were you looking to invest in? Once you establish that, the best providers available quickly become obvious.
By the question, I mean the asset types rather than the specifics. In other words, were you looking at direct share holdings, collective investments or fixed-interest investments? These are the three simplest assets to understand, and your choice here will usually determine where to invest your money.I am a Chartered Financial Planner

Ok, first thing to realise is that a stocks and shares ISA is not an investment. It is a tax wrapper. It doesnt make or lose money. The investments you place inside the ISA do that. Think of it as a container for your investments. You have tens of thousands of investment options to place inside that ISA so you need to think about where you want to invest, why you want to invest, how long and what you are going to get out of it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
