Yes you can. I was on Virgin a while back and got a similar deal to this one from CPW on 3 and ported my number over onto the 3 network.

To keep your exisitng number you need to phone up the network that you're currenty with and ask them for your PAC code (you will need to give them your mobile number, I think). Take this code and give it to 3 and they will port the number across the network, this usually takes a few days.

    Hope that helps :)
  • Cheers Stervo, much appricated. I'm actually on O2 PAYG so will phone CS and try and get a PAC code for it.

Just ordered this phone and if ive worked it out correctly it costs just £20 for the year.

    12 months@ £30 £360
    3 months 1/2 price saves £45
9 months free by redemption takes another £270 off the bill and by going through Quidco you get another £25 back.
My maths isn't brilliant but if it's right its a bargain:D

JUST CHECKED CPW WEBSITE FOR CASHBACK, THE 3 MONTHS HALF PRICE RENTAL IS INCLUDED IN THE CASH BACK OF £270. THIS IS UNDER NETWORK CONTRIBUTION OF £45.

    Flowerbob,

The same thing happened to me as happened to you, last April I walked into the Orange store where I was offered the 120 minutes/30 text contract, matched to the 'internet only' offer for £15. Great I though, even better when they also threw in the £50 for the old handset, and referral money.

But, Just this month my bill has shot back up to £25. I called Orange who said this was because I only signed up to an 18 month offer for the reduced line rental. I assured them this was not true, and that I had a signed contract stating it was not an offer but was a reduced price tariff. Customer services wouldnt have any of this so I asked to be put through to management.

Heres where things went down hill. I said I would not be paying the additional as it wasn't in my signed contract, here he said he didnt care, they can do what they want and then proceeded to block my phone (I am not in arrears, never have been, did not swear or raise my voice at all. he just blocked it because 'he can do what he wants')

So beware. Things will change... At the least I would call customer services up and ask them to clarify that it is only an 18 month offer (which sounds like rubbish seeing as it is only a 12 month contract I had).

I am now looking at a nokia 6680/SE W800i through O2 direct (low cost 12 month standard contract, no arsing about with cashback) (undecided) or from a third party site on three with cashback which I'll swap over when the time comes to a new contract.
