  • Right pause for thought, would it not therefore make good business for me to:

Buy the Nokia 7260 at a full cost of £288. Get £320 worth of boots points in return.
    Already £32 up.

But I sell the 7260 when it arrives, obviously keep the sim card. Selling price on Ebay is £150 average so I would end up with £182 of profit.

I presume advantage points can be just spent at boots for the equivalent cash value?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong! ;)
  • That looks okay to me alan exept that £150 might be a little optimistic I think £100 is a more realistic price based on completed sales. It is still a worthwhile exersise though.

I also note this at the top of the page:
This shop is excluded from the boots.com triple points event
    Isn't that a pity.
  • if you get the points on month 7, then can you change down to a cheaper tarrif? or is that Vodafones cheapest one anyway?

also are there any other points offers out there you can combine with this?

good question ilikepoints, re changing the contract - any ideas anyone?
    Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)
  • Hmm, i know I have had a £14 contract with vodafone before but £16 seems pretty competitive.

Fair play to someone if they know of a cheaper one.
  • A simple question from a non-Boots user - can the advantage points be used to buy everything on the Boots website (cameras, ipods etc.)? Or will I be spending years trying to get rid of my 36000 points in bottles of shampoo?

Just a quick question, I've had a look on the Boots site and it says it's £16 per month but that does not include itemised billing. I had a Vodafone contract a few years ago and I seem to remember that itemised billing was compulosry and there was an extra charge for it. Can anyone tell me if this will be the same and if so, how much extra it will add to the monthly cost? Thanks.

Some of the larger branches stock Ipods and digital cameras for which you can redeem your points. You can phone 08456 090 055 (local rate) and ask them if something you want is in stock at the nearest (large) branch to you.

Anyone know if there's a decent deal here if you're not so much bothered about making a profit but you do need some free texts and preferably anyime x-network mins?

Otherwise the costs can mount up. I've taken up some great free deals for the last two years and I think it's best to assess you real use of the phone rather than just going for the best upfront offer...
