Wasps

We have lots in our garden too, how can you judge if the numbers of wasps flying around are normal for this time of the year (bearing in mind it's really nice weather at the moment) or if there is a nest somewhere?0

My neighbour had a wasp nest in his garden. He go this wasp nest aerosol thingy from a hardware store. You basically aim this aerosol spray at the hole in the nest (from about 4 feet away). It blocks up the entrance, not sure if it poisons the wasps or what. It seemed to do the trick0

Get a bug zapper for wasps and all other flying things. Ive got 1 and i think its the best way of getting them. Spraying can make it worst sometimes, but with the 'racquet' type thing i hit em and then it stuns them, then place it on the wasp and press button. Wasps are horrible and this is a great invention:cool::D2016 Money challenge - £2900

Mine must be special homing wasps then I've the same gang for 3 years running..I didn't say the same nest i said the same area......as in the very same corner of my garden they always use.
I think they like me.!:D
Yes, I should have said the same nest.
I don't know why so many people are so anti-wasp. I lived for a time on a fruit farm and you learn not to worry about them. I realise for a small minority of people there is an alergy problem but for most people the sting isn't that bad and you won't normally get stung if you don't flap around and annoy them.
Pity you haven't got a nearby hornets nest. Hornets prey on wasps but of course you have to contend with the hornets. They are less aggressive than wasps but if you do get stung you certainly know it.0
