  • Hi We just recently had our kitchen done we got ours from wickes well worth the mess and wait. Really good quality and excellent customer service

    We had a look at Wickes, then a bit of research indicated that their recommended fitters are a national agency that takes 30% commission, which put me right off. Getting the fitters with no middleman involvement is an issue.

    I'd second that. Delighted with my new Wickes kitchen although it's not from the take-away range. My OH was able to fit it himself but we got excellent service and advice from the planner. Also, he was able to recommend a good local person who would have fitted it for us if we wanted rather than the Wickes people but that's amybe personal to this particular designer. I expect if you went on tradesman website you'd find someone who could fit it for you.

    If looking at Ikea bear in mind the following: they're 2 cm deeper than most others (so need deeper worktops) and have no hidden space at the back for pipework. Bonus is you get enormous cupboards and easy to maintain pipework!
