Nope, genuine question. If you are saying that this one is not good value, then show us what we can get for the same price that is better.
Sounds like Moneysaving to me!
I never said it was not good value nor did I ever give the impression that I had a better deal - in fact I have repeatedy said it's not about posting a better or alternative deal. All I said was, given my reasons, I didn't consider it to be a grabbit deal.
Unfortunately, people seem to have forgotten the fact that I have never suggested that I have a better deal and are having a go at me for voicing MY opinion in a forum that's there for voicing opinions (amongst other things).
I'm afraid that I can't agree that spending £130 is moneysaving - no matter how you look at it, it's spending £130. You could argue that you could have spent £199 on the same item before the OP posted the deal and, I guess, that that may have saved people £60 or so. But in truth, it's probably encouraged more people to try and spend £130 - regardless of whether an old TV has just gone kaput or not.
The OP berrated others for posting alternative deals and berrated me when I didn't. Seems like a no-win situation. I'm off to have cake - and eat it.0 -

I couldn't get the link working. £79 for an LCD sounds a great price. My MIL needs a new TV for her bedroom and Sainsbury's have sold out on the Sony one so I'm off to look in Argos for her. Thanks for the tip.
Edit. found it Argos
It doesn't have built in Freeview but my MIL already has a digital box she can use.

There will be loads of cheap analogue LCD tvs (£50ish) in the next year or so, as retailers rid themselves of these "discontinued" models. DSG has stopped selling them, so Currys is worth a look.
They will continue to work with an external box via a scart lead ( Sky or Freeview)ac's lovechild0 -

DSG have just announced they are to stop selling them, so Currys will be worth a look.
They will still work with an external box via scart lead. (Sky or Freeview)

Where have I berrated others for posting alternative deals on this thread
You seem to have a personal issue with me judging by your PMs to me calling me a liar or else you are just a troll.

Please please please - let's chill
You are both trying to help people in your own way - I fortunately bought one of these - thank you Poppy, and am very pleased with it. I also am aware that these are on the way out, to be replaced by 20" widescreens, which means that soon you wont be able to buy a 15" - that causes a big problem if you only have space for a 15".
So please try and make up and lets stick to the real reason we're on here.0 -
Did anyone find out whether this TV is still on sale anywhere? I am having difficulty finding one. I already have one of these; and its a great bedrooom tv. Adel0

Tesco's have them but at £249:eek:
MIL wanted one as she only had room for a 15" in her kitchen. Couldn't find one for anywhere so ended up giving her ours as she was driving us mad as she only likes Sonys etc!! but she can't get out shopping.
Check out Sainsbury's in store as they've reduced a load of their smaller TVs in the last few days.
