Hi
I've just found some roast beef chunks lurking in the bottom of the freezer! I seem to recall the joint of beef in question was quite dry at the time, what can I do with it for tonights tea?
I also have some Thai Spiced sausages from Mr A's. Normally I just roast/bake the sausages in the oven and serve with chips/mash - does anyone have any inspiring ideas for the sausages as well?

Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

OOOOooooo, Sausages I would stir fry, cook off in oven let cool, chop up and then add to veggies being stir fried.
The beef I would reheat in some gravy in the oven.
Sorry not very imaginativeProud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -

I've just found a tin of oxtail soup sitting in the back of the cupboard - do you think it would be good with the beef in a pie??Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. I make up gravy using leftover red wine to casserole dry beef.
For sausages I do Toad in the hole, but put whole tomatoes & mushrooms as well as sausages in it.

DS1 decided what to do with the beef last night for me - he came home having popped to Mr T's and bought a jar of Uncle B's sweet chilli sauce so we had chilli beef for tea last night.
Thanks for the ideas thoughBanana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
I was going to suggest beef curry - with just a simple curry sauce that I use for chicken but sounds like you found a tasty solution anyway

I know I'm too late for your tea now, but what about mincing up the beef and mixing it with the sausage meat to make meatballs? Fry, then serve in a tomato sauce (onion, garlic, can tomatoes, simmer till thick).Debt at LBM (20th March 2008) £13,607
