    Rock on MSE!!!
  • <shakes head>

it says i have no mssgs !! ???
    or.....am i being thick ;)
  • I didn't realise that you can choose one of four text message deals:

    1 300 SMS 0 MMS
    2 200 SMS 25 MMS
    3 100 SMS 50 MMS
    4 0 SMS 75 MMS

Option 2 looks pretty good if you have a camera phone and do a bit of texting also.

Also it comes with free 1MB WAP via GPRS.
I'm not too keen on paying 10p to retrieve voicemail but that should give me an incentive to answer the phone ;D
As for customer services at 50p/min, now we know where they make their money, grr >:(
...and then the window licker said to me...

I connected last year and it looks like I get 300 mins of dial-up WAP rather than the 1Mb of GPRS... :-/ However, I think the 1Mb GPRS applies to all new O2 SIMs that are activated.

Voicemail is 10p per call, as far as I can remember, so you can spend as long on the voicemail call as you like. Or wait until you have several and listen to them all at the same time. :)

I try not to find a reason to call customer services if I can possibly help it, and the beauty of PAYG is that when they mess up, you're not locked into a contract. :D

  • Re customer services, is there a geographical number through the back door?
As it's PAYG, yes you can leave any time. But I am porting across my old number and will this be a big (costly) pain when I come to leave and want to take my number with me? ???

Great stuff! Thanks for the link. I've just ordered 4 for me to my address. 4 for me to my parents address. 4 for my girlfriend to her Mum's address.
Saves them all going to the greedy ebay buggers.  ;D

You could try 0870 600 3009 - it's not exactly a geographical number but it should be cheaper than their main number. I've never really had much of an urge to call it myself, but from the newsgroups it's supposed to work!

You might also try your luck with the alternative telephone numbers on:
