And let all the fibre glass or what they used as insulation pollute the air.

You could put a free-ad in the local adtrader offering it "Free to collector", someones bound to want it as a playhouse or for storing garden tools or some builder might need it to stay in on site, or someone might find it usefull to convert into a trailer.
Ive put items in the freeads before and advertised them as free to collector, old 3 peice suite, table and chairs, kids climbing frame, etc , its much easier than taking it down the tip and it's a good way to re-cycle old stuff.

We sold ours to a bloke who was working on a new road building job. They buy old caravans so they can sleep there at night or so they can have somewhere to go for a cuppa. It was very basic and very small, just a gas ring, sink and gas lamp with no electrics and no loo.We put it in the local paper. I think we got about £150 for it but that was some years ago.0

Try advertising it on the free ads on https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk loads of camping ethusiasts on there and someone may have a use for it.
Good Luck!0 -
Yes I would say put it on ebay. I had a 1950's caravan which I used to spend the odd week and weekend in with my children. I also used to let it out to family for a small price and to help with the ground rent of the site. People used to like it as it had most the original 50's features in it like the plates, cups, cutlery, mirror on the wall and the pictures on the wall.
Anyway, I decided to get rid of it as it was becoming really expensive to maintain. A repair was needed roughly every week and I found I spent almost every waking hour at the caravan or worrying about the caravan. I tried to get it towed away but they wouldnt because it was too old, I tried selling it for scrap but no one wanted it. So in the end I put it on ebay. I started the bidding at £400 and it ended up going for £650!!! I was really surprised as I thought I was going to have to pay someone to take it away!!2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
Minimal scrap value, in it, if it really is thrw away time, so call one of the 'We collect scrap cars free' people in your local paper.
Fortunatly the metal market, has increased enough for these guys not to charge you, now.

Got any banger racing tracks nearby? They often have races towing caravans and strip everything out except the shell so it falls to bits when someone steams flat out into it!0

Turn it into a hot dog van in your local town centre, make a fortune on a saturday night.
Or wait till the !!!!!!'s are next in the local area. When they knock on your door and ask if you want your gutters cleared, say that you will pay them in caravans, im sure they will understand that currency.0 -
yeah I'd go with ebay. As you ony want rid of it, and you are going to save having to pay, start the bidding at 99p, tehn it'll be great fun watching the bids roll in, and you'll be amazed how much it goes for. Don't forget to include the description 'vintage', it's bound to add to the value.
Failing that, advertise 'for free' in teh local freeads, ad boards, and it'll soon be gone.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0
