    If sellinga lap top you are ok to accept the payment via pay pal but only from a pay pal verified buyer and to sendit via secure delivery that way if they say they have not recieved it or try a charge back via paypal you are covered. i hope you understand what i am saying.

    Unfortunately of course the new rules mean we can no longer refuse to accept paypal on items, so the only way of avoiding using paypal would be to list on another site.

    I used to sell loads of car parts (from scrap cars, £5-£40 price range) and had no problems.
    However, I'd be very wary of selling anything with a value over £50 unless I could take cash on collection.
