tia, try the toy boxes or inside shoes. Actually under their mattress aswell, DS2 seems to 'borrow' shiney things, takes them to bed then they slip down the side of the mattress/inside his pillow case etc. I washed a DS game of DS1s last week, must have been in DS2s pillowcase again, doubt it'll work again.

Hi shell, long time no see :) hope you are ok, you have been mentioned - so yes we have noticed! Now get back to work before Pigpen notices!

We have nice weather!!!! It's a bank holiday and it's warm!!!! One for the record books, anyway DP and his brother have took DS2 out with the quad bikes, hopefully they will all come back in one piece. Gives me and DS1 some peace :D I might get that garden finished actually depending how dry the grass is. I have ordered DPs Nana a present from Argos, funky DAB radio because she's just had her kitchen done which is really modern but using a horrible old radio stuck together with cellotape. I'll probably go and get that about 3pm ish then meet DP over there to take it to her.
One day I might be more organised...........

    hi
not been around much lately and the kids are the better for it but the house isnt!!

Anyway, have to be quick off out in a bit for DH birthday lunch - but -

    Recommend me your hoover ....

Mine is bust. It was a 10yr old Dyson cylinder CD02 which I was never that impressed with anyway. Used a freidns Henry and fancy a Hetty except its heavy and I am not good with a cylinder, tend to take lumps out of door frames etc LOL. Mums is a Dyson upright and weighs a TON.

Gotta go, LO proper rolling now its a nightmare what with lego, polly pocket, power rangers weapons, bouncy balls, sequins, beads, hair clips and bobbles aaaarrrggghhhhhh
    Cheers

JillD hello, someone else who has been mentioned as missing in action. Happy birthday to your DH.

Sorry I love my Dyson :o I have an upright animal and it's great. They do some really light ones, there are other fab vacuum cleaners out there of course. Maybe go somewhere like Currys/Comet etc and see what they have, test them, then go home and find codes/cashback offers to get a good deal :D

I think I might be finally getting there, I just thought oh what the heck and applied for a higher interest current account (after being refused many times inc about Xmas time) as I hate having just an electron card on a basic bank account(and my honking huge interest credit card I got accepted for a few month ago) I've been accepted :D:D:D does that mean after being riddled with debt, fighting my way back out of it etc etc I am finally being accepted as a good citizen again (Sorry but yes I took it personally when they declined me!!) I'm getting a proper bank card that even Tesco online accept :D Oh and I said NO THANKS to the overdraft!!! Crap that means I now need to get things transfered over to that account, bums, I best look into how I do that...

    Hello all,

Welcome Liz. :hello: and welcome back, Shell :j

 Quick rant coming on! 1.10 am I wakened to hear [STRIKE]some woman[/STRIKE] gob on a stick, shouting her mouth off. I came downstairs and shouted out of the front door to keep the noise down. She kept going so I threw my jeans and fleece on over my PJs (attractive :rotfl:) and went out for a look. It was coming from a house 4 away and at right angles to ours. I knocked, no response, I knocked again, no response, I hammered and it went deathly quiet. So I went back to bed! This morning all their windows that been wide open last night were tight shut, but DD and I have heard her going at it 7.15am as well. Who can find things to argue about that early and that late? Silly b8tch! I was not happy. We've been here for just over three years and the occupants of that house were moved by the council after all the complaints from the neighbours about 6 months after we came. the next family have gone to Australia following action against the Australian government a la "Rabbit Proof Fence" as Mrs had been removed from her mother and adopted by white Brits who divorced and "Mum" came back here with daughter. They were a lovely family and we miss them, but she's suing government so good luck to her. Then this lot moved in about 2 months ago and we're getting the noise and footballs in the garden like with the first family. I'm going to keep a record, just in case! Rant over.

Not a bad day so far. All dailies done. 2 wash loads on line, 3rd in machine, all ironing done.

DH has scrubbed the entire shower room so that will only need SS for the rest of the week. He's also been busy trying to refit DS's blackout blind but has had to take the batten off the wall, fill holes etc. What should have been a 10 minute job is taking a couple of hours because of botched jobs by the previous owners. If they could use masonry nails, they did.....................for everything!

DS is still pretty rough with this virus he's had, so if not much better soon I'll have to give in and take him to the doc's.

DD has been away for the weekend so she'll have lots to talk about later (when does she not?)

Just got the bread out of the bread maker a little while ago, so we're all sitting down for lunch and watching "Escape to Victory". I can't believe it but we've found a war film DH has never seen!

Going to do some painting after lunch, so back later.

I have a miele Cat and Dog S5260. It is a best buy on Which and I can honestly say it is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever bought and I was always a Dyson Gal. This knocks spots off any of the Dysons. The suction is amazing My carpets look like new since I have been using this. I got them pro cleaned and since then have been using this vacuum and can honestly say I will never go back to dyson. You can view it here. Shop around though because I only paid £170 for mine in January.

Pink Fairy ((hugs)) offer your neighbour some duck tape for her gob! Some people amaze me, more because I'd be embarrassed to argue where the neighbours could hear! I remember when DP started last week the first thing I did was close the window so noone could hear.

Sharon, I've heard a lot say the miele one is good, I liked the Dyson more so when I found out if it breaks they have a service thing where they fix it inc everything for £65, so this one should last me forever as I will just keep getting it fixed if the motor etc goes. The last repaid I had they replaced the motor, lifetime filter, dustcan, hose, cable and the botton so it's like new (I keep the spanglly dustcan for when we have visitors as all that is wrong with the old one is a small crack on the handle :o )

I'm still in shock with the new bank account, I keep just looking at it :o thinking look 2 accounts!! I'll have a grown ups card again :rotfl:I've transfered £100 into it so it's not sitting empty :D
