I like your thinking, I'll still have to do their bed linen/vacuuming etc tho.....but they can tidy it and call me 'nordy' again. DS2s friend coming over on Friday will be the bribe, no tidy no friend! DS1 well I'll just have to kick him or something.

I'm actually unsure what to do about Friday, DS2s room isn't really big enough to play in but there is also the fact I don't want the other child mooching, finding DS2s continence stuff then telling tales at school, so might just keep them out of his room..
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening ladies.

Garden looking good so house is looking bad.

Invited our neighbours (3 down) with their 2 girls over for a glass of wine and they ended up staying for tea - I like off the cuff things so much more relaxed.

The tree has gone and is now a bench (branches all over the lawn still) I'll do a picture tomorrow.

First veg in the veg patch too.

DS1 and DS2 down in the playhouse for their first sleep out of the year.

Going to watch Desperate housewives now.

Pigpen thanks for the day off tomorrow, saves me playing catchup

We never let visiting kids go upstairs when my two were younger. We had too many instances of things getting broken, or just kids not knowing how to behave in other people's homes. For example, DS's 8th (I think) birthday party where one little grot was telling really rude (and I mean very!!!) jokes and I told him to stop, then he started jumping on the sofa, so I told him to get off. His answer was that he was allowed to do it at home. I told him that was fine, but that if he didn't stop doing it in my home, he would be going home to do it in his own a lot more quickly than his parents had expected him to! The little s0d bullied DS when they went back to school. DS has seen him recently when we were visiting friends in North Som and he took one look at DS, paled and moved in the opposite direction very quickly! He stopped growing at around 5'4" but DS is now 6'2" like his Dad. :rotfl:

Pink Fairy there are some horrible little children, from what I can tell so far (usually go to the park after school with him and his Mam) he's a nice child, bit of an issue with manners (demanding to his Mam etc) and a wanderer. I think for the first few times he comes to play I will be keeping a VERY close eye on them anyway, was uncomfortable with them being upstairs but expecting DS2 to want to go up and choose things to play with, might suggest to him bringing them down on Thursday evening ready and they can play in the conservatory if it's raining.

    Evening everyone.

Kaz i asked them why and all i got was don't know, so told them the bin man was coming tomorrow to take away all their toys their response was i don't like my toys anyway. Now i'm not sure what to do. Cheeky brats.

I have so been there. I remember one time when they had really pushed me. I said I was taking everything out of their room except their beds. I started this dramatic display of hauling everything out of their room and into mine and the little blighters actually helped me do it. "here you are mummy, me do it mummy" Of course I fell soft on them pretty quickly.

I haven't really got any advice on what to do TBH. I just hope it helps to know, your not on your own.

Lil-me soappie I am pleased to not be related to you as I dislike having pins put in me :D my son did try and label one of where we lived before, I didn't think a 9 year old would be able to spell bas**** when he was attempting to label the old neighbours house, but he managed it.

Lilme - rest assured, I was only sticking pins in LOCATIONS not people - I only do that when I don't like them and I have a spare bit of wax to make a doll with ---ooops didn't mean to mention that...:D

Please can you wish for nice weather for Bank Holiday here on the south coast? I really need to get those photos done and I can't do it in the rain because it'll spoil my expensive camera.

soappie according to the forecast, wait until the afternoon as the rains going to naff off for down south, but of course it'll rain here...

Looks like I am on taxi duty tomorrow as DPs brother is coming over, I'd have said no but I need him to look after the dogs in a few weeks for one day, think I'll go over and see my friend while he's here.

Think I am going to sort the dogs out, empty the DW then get myself to bed, night night everyone :)
