Not much done today, been shopping and just about to get ready for the gym, hopefully the running club is on this week. Blazing sunshine here so I'm going to cycle in.
I've not read thru the thread yet, hope everyone is ok, I'll catch up later. Mums dog is back from the vets, the results will take up to 10 days so hopefully should hear soon.

I had a letter this morning from Bank of Scotland, telling me I have 6 payments of my loan left, that would be the loan I paid off last year with a final settlement! I'll write out a letter in work tonight.

I was there too:D Did you have to wait in that massive queue? I was so delighted i was a member and got to use the gate at the top, if i wasnt a member i think i would have turned the car round and gone home:eek:
You lucky so and so..:D there was a member of staff asking people in the queue if they had vip tickets or were members and they got taken out of the queue. But we saw a man on crutches and several people in wheelchairs who had to walk all the way up the hill at the carpark to join the queue. Surely they could have just taken them in? Carparking was a nightmare, we ended up on the Greenway so left the zoo at 3.40pm, but lots of people left their cars after 4pm and got tickets (we heard from someone who passed there after 5 and saw all the cars with tickets, a nice profitable day for the traffice wardens in Edinburgh  ) The new Chimp exhibition is super though, don't you think? And did you squash yourself in with all thousands of others to see the penquin parade? We did..

done the kitchen, apart from the floor
have to get the washing in and maybe iron it, see how I feel
    posted my parcels

    Evening all,
Dusty – yes it’s been glorious – shame I’ve been stuck in the office!

Lil-me - Glad you got your me time and got your hair done - and at such a reasonable price!

Hev – have you done those potatoes?
    Happy birthday luby :bdaycake:
I am frazzled this evening. Got to work really early because the traffic lights on the roadworks weren't there to find my new desk is tiny with a pedestal thing underneath it which meant I had zero leg room, my back is to the door and although the lights on my computers (I always have two and occasionally three) were on, nothing was home.

Finally got up and running about 10.30am but it's noisy in there! I'm used to being in an office with three people - one of which is me. I'm now in an office with six people including me, though today, we had a seventh because he's a new starter.

I managed to find a new place for the pedestal drawer thing which gave me more leg room and reorganised my monitors (I have two - one for each computer) and managed to get them connected so I only need one keyboard instead of the two that were filling the tiny desk so I feel I have a little more desk space.

But I have, this evening, dug out my old ear defenders from my shooting days (before they banned hand guns) and will take them into the office tomorrow. I shall pop them on everytime it gets noisy. I actually turned round at one point and said to a visitor standing behind me who was having a conversation with someone over the other side of the room "Would you mind having your conversation over there at his desk?" "Oh, sorry, is it disturbing you having me talk over you?"

    Too Bl**dy right it was!

Then, having had it fixed in my head that my hairdresser was due at 6pm, I pull onto my drive about 5pm to find him pull up behind me and park across me. His diary was right - mine was wrong!

So, I'm nicely trimmed and bouffant but feel stressed. To top it all, DS and DiL have just had a row (over some ice cream she bought of all things!) and she's stomped off somewhere. He's being bolshy and I've no idea whether one or both of them want dinner.

Ahhh me - and they say spring is in the air!

We got a parking space no problem, got to the zoo about 12 and it said the car park was full, but we went in anyway and got a space easily:confused: Was standing in front of the penguin shop and saw !!!!!! all of the penguin parade as i'm so short:rotfl: The chimp exhibit is really good though:D

Soappie sorry you day was not so good. Hope DS and DiL make the peace soon, not nice for you.

Kids all fed and watching a little tv before bed for the little one and revision.

DS3 managed to swim across the diving pit today. He has always refused before through fear - he can swim the distance in the shallow water. I told him his swim teacher would have to jump in in his clothes if DS stayed under the water and that did the trick - really proud of him.

Tash - hope the PTA meeting goes ok. I finished a 3 year stint as treasurer in February so know how much work it can be.

Right going to tidy up the kitchen from tea and get the washing in.

    Hi everyone.

What a gorgeous day its been. Mum enjoyed her trip to the park and two cigs:rolleyes:. Did my meeting and greeting. The hospital was really busy today and people were streaming in. Where I stand in the entrance is a suntrap as there are glass windows in the ceiling. It was roasting.

Daughter still trying to sort prob with her keymeter out. She rang Npower back and they said it was normal to spend £26 a week. It would cost her £75 for them to check the meter. Which she hasnt got. The woman was quite rude. Daughter ringing back tomorrow to speak to a supervisor.
