    Evening all

Not been around for a few days, took poorly last Tues and it took till Thursday to feel better. Then Friday the stuff for laying the patio arrived so been busy with that. Actually took less than 24 hours to lay the patio then Sunday we spent the day planting pots and finishing touches. Looks brill now so very pleased.

It has been BOILING here today, DH and I have just had a BBQ and eaten outside which was lovely. DS is not well at all today, think it'll be trip to the doctors tomorrow with him, dreading tonight as I think I'll be up with him.

Hugs all around, hope things start looking up for people Xx

    i'm still around bargainbird.

Had another relaxing day. DH has been a busy bee. Cooked all meals, mended my brothers bike, bathed DS. The only thing i have managed is doing a washload and washing up one set of dishes.

I've just ordered a bunch of flowers for one of the nursery workers at DS's nursery as she is leaving on Thursday. I wish i had thought earlier as it would have been cheaper to get DH to get a box of choccies from supermarket earlier, but then again, i only spent £8.99 on a bunch of carnations with a box of choccies, and by the time i had bought a card and flowers or chocs tomorrow, and gone to the effort of getting them, is it really worth it?

DS at nursery tomorrow, so have got a cheque ready to pay for that, and really should have got his clothes out, but will do that in the morning.

Will be spending another day pottering by the looks of it.

    Michelle, x

Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming - tbh I was a bit scared of joining this thread - you all seem to have such clean homes and mine's a pigsty (well, whatever the feline equivalent is :D) but it's really friendly here. How do you work out what to put on your daily list?

Blimey! Over 100 posts already! I don't think I'll be able to catch up with reading them as I'm off to bed, and I'm sure that when I log on tomorrow the thread will be even longer. I was pleased to see that Pigpen hadn't set us any work for today. Just as well really. My DD1 and I went to a friend's house and we watched Becoming Jane. Left DH here as it's not really his cup of tea. My DD loves period dramas (she's 11) and watches them all with me.

I'm going to try and stick to it this week.

The secret is that none of us actually clean, we just sit at the computer chatting, drinking tea, scoffing biccys and claiming we've cleaned :rotfl:

Pigpen is the whip-cracker & posts the daily lists in the first post each evening. :D

    Evening all

We had a very nice BBQ although DS was not well enough to go. I can see a doc's trip looming this week, but our usual GP is on leave and the other one knows a lot less about M.E.

Michelle - no good taking the cake out until it's cooked! Not long now hun.

Sharon - thanks for the Wilkinsons tip. I'll try Cwmbran first as it's easier (I know where it is. :rotfl:) How's your DD?

Boddy - thank you for the good wishes. Was it you that just bought the house? (I've had a few sleeps since) And how's it going?

Dusty - loved the bench and the boys. What lovely looking lads.

Liz - Cleaning? I thought we just told people we did it. I didn't realise we actually had to do it. Seriously though, I just use the lists from the first week I started on here. I'm such a saddo I can't cope with changes, so I stick to the same week on week. I've printed them off and just bought a laminator so I can use a wipe off pen.
Just remember you don't have to do the whole lot every time. Some days I do my dailies and just Level 1, others I add in a bit of Level 2 or 3 depending on time (as I work full time like several others on here). The thing is that as you start (in an untidy house), you can see the improvement day by day. By the end of one week you will see a big difference, and that helps motivate you to keep going. I definitely think it helps just to "tell" people what you hope to achieve, then there's the satisfaction of crossing things off your list. And having a written list encourages you to do as much as you can fit in. I was told at the beginning to start gradually, and we all have days (or weeks) where things don't go to plan, but you just try again the next day. Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Has anyone heard from Hev? She was having a visit from the SIL from hell last weekend?

Back to work tomorrow. Got to go somewhere up the valleys - got a postcode somewhere???

    Tomorrow's tasks:
    Dailies
    SS Kitchen, Bathroom, Shower room
    Make beds
    DW, WM, TD, BM, CM
    Feed dogs, cats and fish
    Groom dogs and cats
    Walk dogs
Terrific Tuesday - Living Room, Den and Stairs

    Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
Clear anything from the stairs! Safe stairs are a must

    Level Two
Move clutter so you can vacuum under it
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level

    Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is!
Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs.
Extra Mission Tasks - as usual try one or more of these
Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc
Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
Wipe down window frames in these rooms (inside) clean any marks from window
Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
20 minutes ironing time to get that pile down, and make sure you put it away!

Hugs, get well wishes etc where appropriate. Night all. Sleep well. (BTW - I found out today that the family making all the noise last night were moved out of one of the roughest areas around here - and they sent them to our area, which is one of the nicest. Their's is on of only 3 or 4 Council properties in our road.)
