Anyone complained successfully against Burger King?

Options
Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I went to Burger King drive-thru today to get a meal, and when i got home to eat, i found a piece of cardboard hanging out the side of the burger.
Im not one to complain, but thought why not, an old lady could have eaten it.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone complained in a letter to BK before, what was the outcome.
Was hoping for somne freebies! lol, why not eh!

I work at McDonalds [sadly] when not in uni, and what people usually do is call up if something's gone wrong and we write it in the complaints book and you'll get your meal again next time you come, or everything you ordered if the manager is nice. Just call them up and explain.

    thanks Huxley,

I tried the customer care line, but its closed till Tuesday. So im likely to write a letter to them.

Does that work any better than speaking to them on the phone?

A work colleague complained to BK (not sure if it was in person or by letter) as he had a screw in his burger (crunchy).

He was given £40 in BK vouchers.

I think i'd write if i were you. Beware they may try to discredit your claim as Morrisons did to me when i found a Bob Howler Moth in my washed 'n' ready to eat salad and they may also request that you release your "evidence" to them. In which case i would NOT send the cardboard in, i would inform them that you are sending it to Environmental health.

How many times are you going to see an "old lady" eating a Burger King? Moreover, they have too much sense me thinks.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the correct board for this thread (I've moved it).

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

So are you taking a philanthropic interest in old ladies,or are you just after grabbing some compensation in the form of vouchers?
    Be honest.
    A bit of cardboard?
Not exactly life threatening(Unless someone is going to suggest there is some dietary?religious significance).

That bit of cardboard may have had more nutrients than the burger.
