  • This code *2767*637# works on early versions but there is no saying it will work on the one your daughter has as most phone manufactures update their software on the phones....but as it was free its worth a try :)

  • on my old nec exactly the same thing happened to me - i locked myself out, and went to the 3 office to ask what was happening and what i had to do - they said i'd need to send it to their repair place to have the whole system rebooted....

but then the phone allowed for more attempts at putting the password in later - and luckily i reminded myself (i.e. guessed ;-) it. does your phone allow for anythin like that or is it simply 'unusable' ?

does it still work ok on the original network (it should do) if so and you want to use a different network then it needs unlocking. can be done with free s/w and a samsung T100 cable if you can get one

i think the original simcard was a vodafone it still has signal , i have tried the code mentioned above, after doing that then when it says network lock enter password which i dont know wot it is... i dont want to just take guesses at it as i tried a 5 digit no. it told me it was too short then tried 9 digit and it said wrong password you have 9 attempts left which i am taking pot luck i will prob use up all attempst which i dont want to do,, so do you think the t100 cable and software do anything for it? what do you think drahcir:confused:

if you have not got the cable it may be cheaper to find a shop to unlock it for you for about £10

or take a wander round the local boot fair on sunday and see if there is someone unlocking
