I bought some multipack of crisps on offer not so long back. I never buy crisps so I was a bit cheesed off when I realised I'd been charged for 4 packs, when I'd only got 3 so paid more than what I thought I was saving. One item had got scanned twice and I got my money back no problem. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

this happens when you buy bakery goods - products get scanned accidentally from the sheet!! i always check the bill when i buy that type of goods from the store! if i have additional goods i go to cs with my trolly and explain problem and invite them to sort through shopping - they never do and refund the disputed items!! the 2 mins it takes to check the reciept pays dividends as the mistake seems to be 3 out of 4 times!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

This happened to me on Thursday. She scanned the ciabatta rolls, then as she was moving the scanner away from the bakery sheet, she managed to scan brownies, muffins and cookies! Luckily she noticed and called a supervisor to void everything.
She did apologise and say it's so easy to do, as the scanner can pick up barcodes some distance away from the sheet. Here I go again on my own....0 -

About a hour later she came back into the store and said I charged her for 2 diaries - Well DUH - she had bought 2!!!!!. She said she only bought 1.
Now I remember serving her - I remember her buying 2 diaries - I remember charging her for 2 diaries....
I DEMAND TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER was her reply.....
Guess who the manager believed?
Certainly not a staff member.
I would have asked to see the receipt.
If she was charged for one and trying it on the manager cant argue. If she was charged for 2, its a fair cop on her.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

Its difficult to know whose genuine and who is trying it on when they come back later, so default position is to assume the customer is right and refund them, in the interests of good customer service! That makes it easier for people to scam shops, but if you didn't refund people after they'd left the shop I suspect they'd lose customers.0
