gems- well done on paying off your credit card- bet you are glad that's gone for good. Hope you have a lovely holiday.

Awwww bless your puppy dog MM... i panicked when Dylan lost his kitten teeth as i had never seen a cat loose teeth before and he wasnt very well at the time!! Apparantly they normally swallow them  not Dylan, he spat them out!!

My first test is at the end of June, I'm sooo nervous. My week intensive course is in two weeks, then test a week later, i wanted a test the next day after my course but no availability. If i pass i may have to add to my debt to buy a car, or i could wait and buy one at the end of the year with money i save from now until December.

OOooo thats very exciting. Good luck, you will be fine.

On one hand i think it would be good to get a car, so you can build your confidence.

Maybe get a cheap one with a long enough MOT/Tax etc. so you wont have to pay out too much? Thats what i did, and when my MOT ran out it wasnt worth putting it in the garage, but i got 8 months out of it, and it only cost me £400.

I have been without a car for about 3 months now!

My OH and said he will put me on his insurance so I can drive his when he's not using it. The only thing that worries about about that is if i have an accident. I would much rather have my own car. My mate has said to get a cheap car for my first, she got a brand new car when she passed her test, and within two months she had reversed it into the trolley bay in Sainsburys and had two little accidents parking.

I may have a look on Autotrader now, see whats about.

Thank you MM. I have been looking at a VW Lupo. Car looks great, and its nice and small, just what I need. VW's are a bit pricier than say Ford, but VW's are made better and will prob last.

I just want to pass now - fed up of learning to drive!
