oooooh good news cath well done!! I have some books I'm thinking of selling but not sure where to do it, they are heavy hardbacks like lord of the rings and would cost a fortune to post . Would it be best to take them to a second hand bookshop or market or can anyone recommend a good place online?

I used to sell all my books on ebay and if they didn't sell there or at a boot I would send them to charity. Nowaday, I check on amazon. We rooted out a book a few weeks ago and I thought it would probably fetch a couple of quid on ebay but I checked amazon and the same book second hand was up for 29quid. So I thought that it sounded like a plan and put mine up for round about 25quid on amazon and within a week it had sold-after fees etc i got £22 form amazon for the book but I had to get postage out of that. However I thought that was a great result. So now if I have books or cds to sell I always check them with amazon online market place to see if I would get more money that way.
Please note I do not work for amazon or any of its affiliates :D
