How do I delete icons from system tray please?

Can you help please I need to delete unnecessary icons from system tray, such as the printer icon etc. How do I do this? hope someone can help! Thanks

you dont delete them you can hide them
Do this right click the taskbar, go to properties, Taskbar, customize,
then hide what you want. And then click OK.0 -
Right click on the task bar, select properties. You have a choice to just hide inactive icons by ticking the box, or go to customise for more options like always hide. I usually leave mine on hide when inactive.

but i right clicked the task bar then properties taskbar options, but couldn't find customize. but i have a tick in the box always on top and auto hide no tick in show small icons in start.
Sorry i am so dim but hope you can tell me what i have to do.0 -
its not at the top, the word customize is down a bit within the Box

You ever get people ask you about Windows 3.1 these days?
