Halifax ISA Transfer Form how to get it

Does anyone know HOW to get hold of the Halifax Cash ISA Transfer Form (or "switching leaflet")? According to their website you have to go into a branch and ask for a "switching leaflet" - did that yesterday and all the stupid woman gave us was a leaflet about the different kinds of Saving accounts they do - NOTHING in it about ISA Transfers or any kind of Form to fill in. HOW CAN I GET ONE?
Have received a letter from them in the post advising me that the new ISA account has been set up and is ready to have an opening balance transferred into it. But no Transfer Form with it.
I work during the week so HOW do I get one?

What are you trying to do?
Do you have an existing ISA with another provider that you wish to transfer into the Halifax?
Or have you simply opened an ISA with the Halifax and want to put money into it? If so which ISA is it - their ISA Saver or ISA Saver Direct?0 -

Um try going in again to get a different leaflet? You did it once, you can do it again. Just make sure you leave with the right form.0 -
It was my mother who went into Halifax yesterday to get the form - I wrote on a piece of paper :
Halifax Fixed Rate 4 yr
ISA Transfer
switching leaflet
My mother handed the Halifax employee the piece of paper to read. So WHY in god's name did the stupid woman at the counter give her the Savings leaflet instead of a Transfer Form? WHY?
All I want to do is transfer my Alliance & Leicester ISA allowance from last year into the Halifax 4yr Fixed ISA. Why don't they put the form on their website instead of hiding it?0 -
Phone up their ISA department and they will sned you the correct form. They offered to do that for me last year.0

There isnt a form that can be given to a customer - the staff have to fill in a form on the system, open up a variable isa (to be redesignated to fixed rate isa upon receipt of funds). there is a leaflet regarding ISA switching.
So your mother would need an appointment, or see if someone is onspec to complete the forms. She would need to take details of her existing ISA with her and Nino number (you wouldn't believe how many don't)
When the branch completes all this, this is sent to the ISA transfer team (guess this is who Jen16 is reffering too), They can prob send a form out if your mother already has an ISA open with the halifax. If not the branch will need to open one.

My mother went into a Halifax branch this morning with my Letter of Account Opening but they refused to give her a Transfer Form. They say I have to go into the branch myself on Saturday morning to Sign the form. WHY can't she bring it home for me to sign and take it back to them the following day rather than having to wait another week to get the account funded?
I work Mon-Fri and I think this is clearly a case of discrimination against the working classes not to mention the disabled who cannot get to a branch.
Who do I complain to about this? Do Halifax have an email address for complaints? Or do I have to put the complaint in writing and send by post?0 -
I have just found a Cash ISA Transfer form on the HMRC website at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/isa/cash-xfer-form.pdf which looks like a standard Transfer Form - there is no logo at the top or anything. Could I use it instead of the Halifax form which they won't give me?0

No harm in trying.0 -
You can sign an ISA paperbased application form, which is not obv face to face, but like I said this needs to be opened first to get an account number.-
and what about ID - this is ually why they need to see you - if you are supplying your passport they need to say that it is a true likeness.
or if you are already id verified with them, then i don't see a problem with the blue isa application form and then they print off a ISA transfer form, with the details of the donor bank you have supplied. As I said its not just a normal form - half the details have to be keyed onto it by the staff member.
Unless you visit a branch on a Saturday?
and you can do it on the phone, and then the forms are posted to you::
